Strength to continue the Journey

Hard to believe that we've been moving, traveling and adjusting to Navy life for almost 20 years now! Where has the time gone?! The boys voiced how much they LOVE California and asked daddy Dale if they could live here forever. The girls (me included) continue to miss our island life. We really had it good on GUAM! Even with a deployment at the tail end of our tour... it was really a wonderful place to be. Slowly, we are all adjusting to life in the FAST lane. This text helped me find courage and strength before arriving on Guam... and it gave me strength to finish out the year without Dale. My love returned from his deployment and we are much stronger family from our time apart. Eight months apart was too long... THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS!! It's in the journey of it all that we become strong... I love this text!

As a mommy I have realized that a lot of what my kids learn are "caught" and not "taught"! We pray daily that our kids will learn to LOVE GOD and have HIS light shine through them in all that they do... and that we, as parents will also reflect that LIGHT! We love our kids, we're tough on them, too - we'll call them out when needed but will also praise them to success! In these captured moments in time... we're learning how to grow together & as we teach our kids... we find there are many moments that they are teaching us, too!

We sealed the deal 19 years ago! WOW! Where has the time gone? I still remember our wedding day like it was yesterday. As a military family we have lived in Chicago (IL), Sicily (Italy), Annapolis (MD), Chespeake (VA), Summerville (SC), Yona, Guam - San Marcos (CA) and soon to Vista, (CA) approximately 35 minutes North of San Diego.... we have been blessed with 4 amazing kids - and I know for certain that I'd marry my best friend all over again! It's been the best decision I've ever made... because I know with him it's -"FOR ALWAYS!"
